At the 4th Asia-Pacific Sustainability Expo 2025, with the theme of "Charge Towards Change", it will be held in the Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 from September 11 to September 13, 2025, aiming to encourage all sectors of society to face the changes together and inject vitality into future sustainable development! This is the best opportunity to explore the latest trends and innovative solutions for sustainable transformation with global experts, business leaders, academic institutions and policy makers.

This forum focuses on the importance of transition finance and negotiation, and hopes that you and I will work together to "create a win-win situation and create a golden era of sustainable development", and invite Professor Zhou Lifang, Secretary General of the Department of Finance, National Chengchi University, Taiwan Sustainable Energy Research Foundation and National Chengchi University, and Professor Huang Qirui and Dean of the Business School of National Taipei University, to share their professional insights. In this event, the CEO of TAISE Award Committee, Mr. Zheng Jiyi, was invited to introduce the content and details of the 2025 Taiwan Sustainable Investment Awards (TWSIA), and warmly welcome everyone to participate.

The Association will hold a member hearing on "Balancing Carbon Fee Collection and Maintaining Industrial Competitiveness in Our Country" on the afternoon of Friday, July 26, 2024. The hearing will invite the Climate Change Administration of the Environmental Ministry to share detailed plans for the carbon fee collection method (draft), and the Institute of Economics, Academia Sinica to present on the current status and trends of international carbon pricing implementation.

Guided by the International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, and organized by the China Times Group, the third "2024 Tainan Green Industry Expo" will be grandly inaugurated at the Tainan Exhibition Center from May 30 to June 1, 2024. The Taiwan Net Zero Emissions Association will also participate in the 2024 Tainan Green Industry Expo. This three-day exhibition welcomes everyone to visit booth A150.

In early 2022, the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) released the "Sustainable Development Roadmap for Listed Companies" to respond to global sustainable development actions and national net-zero emission targets. These measures aim to establish a more comprehensive sustainable development ecosystem. This forum invites experts to share their insights and practical experiences, providing participants with a deeper understanding of the importance and value of sustainability information disclosure, thereby preparing them for future challenges.

To promote exchange and collaboration in the field of net-zero carbon technology between Taiwan and Japan, we have invited prominent Japanese technology experts and industry representatives to Taiwan to give lectures and share their experiences. They will engage in discussions with relevant Taiwanese research and industry organizations, aiming to consolidate strategies for implementing net-zero technologies and driving low-carbon transformation through smart technology. This initiative seeks to advance Taiwan-Japan bilateral cooperation in using technology to address societal challenges under global sustainable net-zero goals. We cordially invite all esteemed guests to join us and actively participate in this event!

Under the trend of achieving net-zero carbon emissions and carbon pricing, Taiwan Carbon Solution Exchange was established in August 2023. It is expected that a carbon fee will be imposed on emissions starting in 2025. The Ministry of Environment and the Central News Agency jointly organized the "Towards a New Era of Zero Carbon Sustainability" forum series, hoping to collaborate with industry, government, and academia. The goal is to lead Taiwan toward a critical moment of sustainable net-zero practices, understand carbon trading, alleviate carbon anxiety, prepare for the new zero-carbon competition, and enhance corporate sustainability competitiveness.

In recent years, as global climate change has become increasingly severe, the urgent need for human beings to protect the Earth has become more apparent. This event, scheduled for June 12th (Wednesday) morning at the Taiwan Sustainable Pavilion, will gather government representatives and experts to discuss the latest developments in the net-zero trend. The aim is to inspire further reflection, promote collaboration, and work together to achieve the goal of net-zero emissions.

The Global Plastics Treaty aims to establish a legally binding framework for the global management of plastics, covering the entire lifecycle from production and consumption to disposal. It is considered one of the most important global environmental agreements since the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement. The United Nations is expected to finalize the content of the treaty by the end of 2024 and begin its implementation. Faced with this imminent industrial transformation, Taiwan's public sector and businesses should work together to address it.

To serve our corporate members, the association will hold its inaugural "Net Zero Strategy Sharing Forum" on May 28, 2024 (Tuesday). Through discussions among the heads of net-zero departments from member companies, we aim to explore solutions for achieving net-zero goals.
