Agenda Discussion

The Environmental Protection Administration pointed out that the global carbon credit market has been growing fast in multiples over the last few years. This active market has become a new market drawing great attention.
For enterprises, the incorporation of carbon credit management early in corporate management strategies in order to acquire the economic benefits given by future reduction of emissions (namely carbon credit) not only fulfills the carbon reduction responsibility of the enterprise but also becomes the indispensable approach to sustainable management and future global market planning.

Nonetheless, the Executive Yuan passed the draft amendment of the “Greenhouse Gas Reduction and Management Act” on April 22 and amended the name to “Climate Change Bill.” Right now all legislators of the Legislative Yuan are reviewing the draft amendment to the greenhouse gas reduction and management act.
The net-zero policy and regulation committee of the Association invited experts from the government, industry, and academia to engage in an in-depth discussion on overseas carbon credit and offset.
