Event Introduction

As the challenges of climate change and energy security intensify, countries around the world are accelerating their transition toward low-carbon development. The Asia-Pacific region, as the world's economic and demographic center, faces multiple transitional pressures, including energy structure adjustments, transport electrification, and urban governance. Against this backdrop, the "Asia Low Emission Development Strategies Partnership Forum" (ALP Forum) serves as a vital platform for policy dialogue and practical exchange in the Asia-Pacific region, continuously promoting collaborative exploration of resilient and sustainable carbon reduction pathways among nations.

Since releasing its "2050 Net-Zero Emissions Pathway" in 2022 and implementing the "Climate Change Response Act" in 2023, Taiwan has been actively promoting key policy actions such as hydrogen energy, energy storage, smart grids, and clean transport. It is gradually establishing a net-zero development environment characterized by policy stability and international alignment. This forum will be held concurrently with "Energy Taiwan" and the "Taiwan International Net-Zero Sustainability Expo," serving as an important platform for Taiwan to demonstrate its practical net-zero achievements and deepen its potential for international cooperation, further enhancing the international visibility of its industrial chain linkages and demonstration outputs.

The 2025 forum will continue the core spirit of the ALP: "Promoting policy dialogue, sharing transition practices, and strengthening transnational cooperation." It will focus on two key themes of concern to Taiwan and other Asia-Pacific countries: "Resilient Energy Transition" and "Low-Carbon Transport and Mobility Actions." We invite government agencies, industry, technical teams, and international advocacy organizations from various countries to share policy and system designs, technology adoption experiences, and demonstration cooperation cases, aiming to deepen institutional interoperability and green supply chain integration.

Introduction to Forum Themes:

🔹 Resilient Energy Transition: From Hydrogen and Energy Storage to Smart Grid Implementation This theme explores practical experiences in the Asia-Pacific region regarding hydrogen policy, energy storage deployment, and smart grid integration. It will share solutions with investment potential and technical feasibility to promote the construction of energy system resilience and cross-sector collaboration.

🔹 Low-Carbon Transport and Mobility Actions: Building Clean Transport and Logistics Transformation This theme focuses on the decarbonization challenges in the transport and logistics sectors, covering topics such as electric vehicles, cold chain logistics, and smart scheduling. It emphasizes how institutional innovation and demonstration cooperation can drive the implementation of sustainable transportation.
